Pastor Blake here on Saturday. We’ve journeyed through teachings on Sabbath rest, healing, radical love, and letting go of judgment. Now Jesus concludes this section by driving home the point: knowing His words isn’t enough; living them out is what truly matters.

Life’s storms—trials, doubts, and hardships—are inevitable. The question is whether our spiritual foundation will hold. Let’s see how we can anchor our hearts in Christ to withstand every challenge.

🙏 HUMBLE

Begin this time pondering the following questions:

1. What are you thankful for today?

2. What burdens, fears, or areas of sin do you need to release to God today?

Now, let’s ask God to help us find HOPE in Him today:

“Lord, open my heart and mind to Your Word today. Help me to see the hope You have for me in these pages. Shine Your light on every truth, and guide me to understand, trust, and apply what You reveal. May Your presence transform my heart and fill me with the hope only You can give. Amen.”

Now, let’s observe what God has to say in His Word:

Today's Devotional:
In this parable, Jesus paints a vivid contrast: one person hears His teaching and obeys, constructing a house on bedrock. Another hears but doesn’t put it into practice, building on unsteady ground. When storms strike, only the house on rock endures.

We observe a God who values not just our beliefs but our willing response. His words bring life and stability when we faithfully act on them. Our human tendency can be to pick and choose which instructions to follow or to delay obedience. Yet true discipleship means living in alignment with the Lord, even when it’s inconvenient or challenging.

Application might look like reevaluating a habit, relationship, or attitude in light of Jesus’ commands. It could mean investing in spiritual disciplines—prayer, worship, Scripture study—that strengthen our bond with Him. When we act on His words, we reinforce our spiritual foundation. So when adversity arrives, we’re not overwhelmed but stand firm, secured by the unchanging rock of Christ’s truth.

• Ask for boldness to share today’s story and invite others to follow Him, praying that God would use your obedience to multiply disciples.
