Daily Devotional: Witnessing Resurrection Power – (John 11:38-44)
God’s power goes beyond the grave. Experience renewed faith in Lazarus’ story.

😊☀️👋🏻 Good morning, friend!
Hi there, Pastor Blake here. Today we’re looking at one of the most dramatic miracles in the Gospels—Jesus raising His friend Lazarus back to life after four days in the tomb. It’s an incredible moment that reminds us how Jesus’ words bring life where death once ruled.
Let’s open our hearts to see how this resurrection account might speak into areas of our own lives that feel beyond repair, knowing that with God, nothing is ever truly lost.
🙏 HUMBLE
Begin this time pondering the following questions:
What are you thankful for today?
What burdens, fears, or areas of sin do you need to release to God today?
Now, let’s ask God to help us find HOPE in Him today:
“Lord, open my heart and mind to Your Word today. Help me to see the hope You have for me in these pages. Shine Your light on every truth, and guide me to understand, trust, and apply what You reveal. May Your presence transform my heart and fill me with the hope only You can give. Amen.”
📖 OBSERVE
Now, let’s observe what God has to say in His Word:
Today's Reading:
READ: John 11:38-44 (NLT)
Reflection Questions:
What stood out to you most from this passage?
What does this teach us about God, His character, and what He does?
What does this teach us about people, including yourself?
Today's Devotional:
In this story, Jesus is moved by the sorrow of Lazarus’ family and friends. When He commands Lazarus to come out of the tomb, He demonstrates His authority over death itself. This miracle reassures us that God’s timing, though different from ours, is always purposeful.
We see a Savior who empathizes with our grief and longs to bring hope. His invitation to believe and trust in Him opens the door for His resurrection power to flow into seemingly hopeless situations. When you feel like you’re at your end, remember that Christ’s voice can still call forth new life, restoring what once seemed lost.
